"With limited time and resources, how can I make the greatest positive impact in this world?"

That is the question which we ask at Effective Altruism (EA) —a global movement that seeks to maximise impact through evidence and careful reasoning. Effective Altruism Malaysia (EA MY) is part of the network of EA chapters globally.

The EA Seminar Programme introduces the core ideas of effective altruism. Over the course of eight weeks, you’ll have weekly discussions with a cohort of 3-5 participants and one facilitator. Before attending each discussion, you’ll complete a set of readings (and sometimes a brief written exercise).

We highly recommend this program if you:

• Find our Introduction to Effective Altruism interesting, and want to explore those ideas in more depth. (See the list of topics below.)
• Want to make a hugely positive impact through your career, giving, or volunteering.
• Can commit at least 2 hours a week to readings and exercises.
• Can attend at least 7 out of the 8 weekly 1-hour discussion sessions.

We also welcome any one from the following groups who are interested to increase their impact considerably:

• Undergraduate and graduate students
• Form 4-6 and pre-university students (A-levels, IB, etc)
